Charming and delightful hotel in the heart of Old Phuket!

Charming, historical, colourful quirky and lovely hotel! All that you need in a central Old Phuket location and famous for Leornado de Caprio's filming there for The Beach. There's a coffee bar and snacks (and coffee in room). but breakfast will need to be in the adjacent bar. The staff could not be more helpful. . May I mention the lovely young lady Pop who was SO kind and lovely. And also the charming young man Tiw who was serving in the coffee bar (which is SO much cooler than the main area). Additionally Allain who really helped me out on my second day. Basically it was TOO hot and 38 degrees so after having had a couple of forays out into the side streets and a visit to a museum I needed a pool. He managed to get me a dayrate at a nearby Marriot Courtyard hotel and that really saved me as access to a pool! there are lots of great places to eat. If you want something that has great Thai and Western offerings may I recommend Day and Night. Its less than 10 mins from hotel. And the service is excellent and some ambience also. I'd also recommend next door to this a really authentic Thai restaurant called Raya. Please go! And if you do go to hotel please walk around all areas to appreciate the unique touches they have made to the decor. I left a book in one of the sitting areas and there are some guidebooks there too (upstairs beyond the left staircase)

Booked here on a Sunday night so I could experience the Sunday Night Market, be close to the Rassada pier for an early morning ferry and to spend the night under the roof of the oldest hotel in Phuket and the film location of The Beach. The hotel is beautiful decorated to the point where tourists wander in the front door to take photos; lots of photos. Some question if the building is a museum by the incredible artwork on display. The rooms are equally tastefully decorated with a high end feeling of stepping back in time. If the hotel itself isn’t enough to make you smile the employees will. Everyone was so friendly and helpful; I felt at home right away. I’ve slept in some unique hotels but this place is definitely at the top of the list for spectacular. Highly recommend.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Old Town Phuket and steeped in history. As soon as you step inside you are greeted by the aura of a by gone age. We were checked in by Amanda and Tao who were both extremely friendly and helpful. Our room had recently been refurbished and was clean, beautiful and very comfortable. If you wander around the hotel there are lots of quaint and interesting features to look at. There are traditional snacks, tea and coffee available free of charge to enjoy overlooking the courtyard. The hotel is very well placed to explore the Old Town and the market. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend and would stay again, if we are in Phuket.

This was the coolest hotel we stayed in whilst travelling around Thailand. “Made Famous by Leonardo Dicaprio staying there during the movie the Beach” Situated in the Old Town in Phuket it was perfectly placed close to the colourful main shops, restaurants and bars. The reception area and rooms were chicly designed, you could almost feel yourself being transported back to the 1930’s. We only stayed here for 1 night ready to fly home in the morning, but we wish we could have stayed longer. They didn’t do breakfast in the hotel, but we were leaving early anyway. We used Grab taxi to go to Patong Beach for the night “600 Bhat - £14.00” which was around 40 minute drive. It was around 30 minutes from the airport.
